Unseen is proud to announce that the exhibition made possible by the Blockbusterfonds is Fashion! Photographs from the Camera Work Collection.

This special selection was compiled from the collection of Camera Work. Camera Work owns one of the world’s largest collections of photographic works and books.

The works on display vary from Edward Steichen's classical compositions, the experimental work of Man Ray and the controversial photos of Helmut Newton to the contemporary fashion photography of Steven Klein. More than any other discipline, fashion photography is able to document the spirit of its time: it shows in a vivid and accessible way the dreams and aspirations of past generations.

The exhibition Fashion! Photographs from the Camera Work Collection is part of Unseen. Thanks to the ‘Blockbusterfonds’, a new private fund with the aim of financing large cultural events and initiatives in the Netherlands, Unseen has been able to invest in an exceptional and high-level accompanying programme, which includes this exhibition.

Fashion! Photographs from the Camera Work Collection will have its festive opening on September 20 at 18.00 and can be seen until September 23 in the Zuiveringshal at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam.
